The Citerne-Lit is a “camouflage project”. The idea is to use an object from the world of agriculture (and its imagination) to create a cocoon programme for an overnight stay in the heart of nature. The Citerne-Lit borrows as much from the world of the farmer (from which it originates) as from that of the space capsule (because of its reduced and ergonomic dimensions) or even that of the unusual or experiential habitat to offer a different kind of overnight stay in an objet d’art. The Citerne-Lit, as is often the case with agricultural cisterns, gives the impression of having been cobbled together, repaired and re-used, even though it was built on a new base. The interior, in deliberate contrast to the exterior, houses a comfortable bed and offers a cosy nest-like space.

Born of stories and narratives, the roads to Santiago de Compostela offer a formidable terrain for nourishing our imaginations and those of artists.
With its searching head and travelling legs, Derrière Le Hublot devised the Fenêtres sur le paysage artistic trail in 2016. Since then, it has been developed along the GR ® 65 with a number of partners and regions through:
– The refuges artworks (first series of seven refuges artworks created between 2018 and 2023)
– Ephemeral artistic events and creations inviting people to explore these landscapes in a different way.
The desire to reveal and reawaken these paths, combined with the desire to invite artists to create where they are least expected, is the spark that has ignited an open-air trail. The route is conceived as a dialogue between protean contemporary works of art (refuges, installations, artistic gatherings, etc.) and an exceptional natural heritage rich in contrasts. The Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela, and in particular the GR ® 65 – Via Podiensis, becomes a formidable breeding ground for contextual creation, allowing us to renew our vision and cultivate our imagination thanks to international artists from multidisciplinary fields.
