MVRDV
2025

Designing with upcycled materials while celebrating the local context! Learn more in this workshop on how MVRDV uses inventive techniques to repurpose materials in their designs – such as wine corks, a local symbol of the La Rioja region – to create happy and adventurous places to pause, meet, and play.

The workshop – with Aser Jiménez-Ortega, Associate Director and Head of Interior at MVRDV – will explore traditional local netting techniques using corks, delving into their origins, applications, and crafting methods. Participants will have the opportunity to work hands-on with tools and samples, guided by experienced local artisans.
