In the Plaza del Mercado, Sara Ricciardi Studio installs an eye with Razzle Dazzle camouflage aesthetics, a graphic technique used in war to confuse the opponent. This scenario, which questions the traditional perception of public space, will be energized through parkour performative actions, a discipline that strongly advocates for the art of movement using one’s physical means in space. Through this visually stimulating experience, the aim is to encourage reflection on freedom of expression and the importance of maintaining an open and critical perspective amidst current social and political pressures.

The Festival de Teatro Iberoamericano de La Rioja, in collaboration with Focus, will activate the intervention Razzle Dazzle by Sara Ricciardi Studio. Eight artists will perform a Parkour performance focused on the search for freedom of expression. This physical action allows a new reading of urban spaces and how to overcome obstacles. It will focus on the impulse of jumping, inviting reflection on the evolving society.
Sara Ricciardi Studio
Sara Ricciardi, a Designer and Creative Director, is based in Milan, where she resides and works. Her academic journey in Product Design spans Milan, Istanbul, and New York. In 2016, she founded her studio, Pataspazio, in Milan. The studio collaborates with a skilled team to design products for companies, limited edition pieces for art-design galleries, performances, interiors, and installations.
Sara’s design philosophy is rooted in a narrative approach, where each aesthetic is born from a specific story. While Sullivan famously stated, “Form follows function,” Sara articulates her perspective as “Form follows poetry.” This reflects her inclination towards a more expressive and narrative-driven approach to design.
