Fragments of a loving discourse provides another way of approaching the affective world, starting from the terminology of Roland Barthes and offering an ecosystem of words in which to project; an immense crossword puzzle that you will solve in situ. The installation has been set up with the cooperation of the ESDIR students.
Municipal Police Yard
In the 1970s, after having built the new Town Hall, the architect Rafael Moneo directed and coordinated the team of Riojan architects who developed the Partial Plan for the construction of the Ruavieja Homes, on the block between Ruavieja and San Gregorio streets, “the origin of the medieval city”.
Some aspects were taken into account: the recovery of the plot as a historical and organisational reference for the Old Town, the recovery of the inner courtyard as a space for relations between neighbours, the enhancement and reuse of existing architectural elements (walls, cellars, oratory), the creation of garages linked to the new buildings and the creation of a new passage to the Ebro Park.
David Azpurgua
Doctor of Fine Arts and Professor of Product Design at the ESDIR (Escuela Superior de Diseño de la Rioja), he develops different urban interventions and plastic works, predominating the presence of the human body and exploration with materials, as well as other concepts such as the passing of time, eroticism… or the unusual everyday.
