Taburete Tower

Concéntrico 05
Some could say it’s a representation of how badly we redistribute the goods in our societies. Another would interpret it it as an architect’s childish yet unfulfilled dream of building a skyscrapper. Someone else would see in it as a reference to Luis Barragan’s towers from Ciudad Satelite. None of the above. It’s Just a stack of fancily shaped plywood stools that for some time took a form of something recalling towers?,skyscrappers? a termitary?
After a couple of days this vertical accent marking a hidden courtyard by the end of a narrow street in the medieval old city in Logroño will be dismantled into a number of heavy duty stools that people who will happen to be present during the finissage will receive and take home. So the form and intentions will last and remind of the Concentrico festival in 2019, its organizers and the author. The memories will come back every time someone will sit on that stool trying to find the best position and thinking “Couldn’t they think of some cushioning?!”
