An Elevated Table in the Landscape

Jennyfher Alvarado + Álvaro Gonzalez

Viña Lanciano – Concéntrico 09

A red carpet transitions from the landscape to a found domestic space, behind the curtain a raised table appears, where visitors gather to share an experience through the senses and create links with the context. Recesses in the facade reflect the movement of the interior, but without competing with the importance of the landscape, these views are framed with a subtle red ribbon, linking the ever-present context to the activity within. Smells permeate the interior of the space, delicate notes that refer to the quality of the product and familiar past experiences around a table. A raised table, which is landscape, tastes it, smells it, sees it and lives it, experiences it.

The volume emerges from the vineyards, placing itself in a position of control, from where one can observe the majesty of the landscape and the protective and affectionate treatment it receives from Bodegas Lan, which consequently translates into the quality of the product. A machine for generating experiences and linking with the landscape. A subtle intervention built, and a landscape intervention, a red carpet, which extends, guides and introduces. The elevated volume generates two situations, an upper, human and inhabited one and a lower, natural one that is respected. A volume that orders the landscape and its elements.

Viña Lanciano Picnic

The intervention will host different activities during the festival. Among them, the Viña Lanciano Picnic, a gathering at the installation with a tasting of the Viña Lanciano 2019 Limited Edition wine.

Jennyfher Alvarado, Álvaro Gonzalez

Jennyfher Alvarado Figueroa. Architect by the University of Navarra (Spain) and the European University of Madrid (Spain). COAVNA 5822.

She has always been interested in the architectural process, from the design to the technical elaboration of it, so after finishing her studies she founded her own architecture and design studio J-AF, in Pamplona (Spain), with a very clear intention of projecting a vision for the future, marked by technological progress, construction techniques and innovative materials and thus transform spaces to generate original atmospheres with diverse spatial possibilities, through design or organization to integrate the user’s participation in equipping a spatial freedom.

During his academic career he has made several trips throughout Europe to discover the different architectural concepts of each city. He has held art exhibitions. He cultivates great sensitivity when working with physical models, which has allowed him to carry out research into the modelling process, using both manual and digital fabrication techniques, being applied to projects or furniture patterns.

Álvaro González Serrano. Architect by the European University of Madrid (Spain), with an academic stay at Coventry University (England), since then, he has gained experience working as a researcher and architect in prestigious international studios both in Madrid (Spain) and Rotterdam (Holland), having received numerous first prizes in various competitions, and as an expert in digital fabrication. In his practice Gonzalez Serrano Studio (Madrid), he integrates the constructive possibilities of new digital fabrication technologies with the traditional knowledge of raw material, betting on a responsible architecture with the environment, its inhabitants, resources and responding to the different forms of future life through technology and design.

ESTUDIO JAAG arises from the collaboration between the two, Jennyfher and Álvaro have worked on previous occasions always from a sustainable approach, through ecosystemically subtle interventions, but with a great visual, evocative, direct and functional impact. Implementing traditional building knowledge with new technologies. In 2022, together, they won the Sustainable Campus-Banco Santander Award with their project ‘Bio-Dome¨.
